At the end of this week I’ll leave TÜBİTAK /UEKAE and start to work for IBM. It doesn’t mean that I’m leaving Pardus, I’ll continue to maintain my packages and bugs too like other pardus developers. Doesn’t matter where you work for as long as you’re in the open source community, so I’ll be around…

Çanakkale 18 Mart Üniversitesi Kütüphanesi Terminal Sunucu’su artık “Pardus 2007.1 Felis Chaus” oldu ve tabi dolayısıyla sunucu üzerinden hizmet alan tüm ince istemcilerde. Buradan öncelikle böyle bir kararı alıp uygulamaya cesaret eden Sayın Necdet Yücel’e Çanakakkale’de kurulum sırasında kahrımı çeken Oğuz Yarımtepe’ye, bir ara necdet’in jabber’ından konuştuğumuz faik’e ve İsmail İşleyen’e teşekkür ediyorum. Yapılan bu çalışma Türkiye’deki tüm üniversiteler için bir örnek olacaktır ve devamının geleceğini de biliyoruz.

Necdet yazdığı blogda hafif bahsetmiş, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi kütüphanesinde bulunan yaklaşık 50 adet ince istemciye hizmet veren sunucuyu haftasonu uzaktan (evden:)) yapacağım çalışma ile Pardus’a geçireceğiz.

Desteğinden ve bize olan güveninden dolayı birkez daha Necdet’e teşekkür ederim, umarım diğer üniversitelerde bu güzide üniversitemiz kadar “Linux ve açık kaynak kodlu yazılımlara” destek verip sahip çıkarlar…
